Races2U was in the middle of the action over the Thanksgiving weekend at the George Brown Convention Center in Houston Texas. Our slot cars were right in the middle of some amazing examples of American automotive ingenuity from the earliest cars to roll off Ford’s production line to the latest examples of Detroit’s finest. There was a lot of automotive art, and some amazing custom paint and chrome on display, as well as race cars, fire trucks, a swap meet, and more. Races2U owner was fortunate enough to meet the still dazzling and charming Ms. Catherine Bach, who made “Daisy Duke” a household name synonymous with beauty even 30 years after the show left the air. One of the original “General Lee” Chargers was on hand as well. We even sold a few of our Pioneer slot car replicas of this automotive icon. Of course, we were delighted to meet other cast members and crew from “Dukes of Hazzard” as well, but meeting Ms. Daisy was a special treat. After all, Races2U is known for our beautiful women as well. Our own lovely Laurence turned a lot of heads at the show. We also awarded a Scalextric slot car track to the racer who had the fastest time on our track over the course of the weekend. You can see how happy the family was to be taking home their new Christmas gift. We brought a lot of inventory to sell at the show that we still have in stock, so if you didn’t get a chance to take home your favorite car or track at the show, you can still find them in our online store. A big “Thank You” to all the great sponsors of the show, including O’Reilly Auto Parts, Summit Racing, Dan Kruse Auctions, Tremec Transmissions, and Meguiars Wax.
