HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!
Hope everyone has had a great start to 2016. We are looking forward to another great year here at the LATE EUROPEAN CARS AND COFFEE AUSTIN AT THE OASIS ON LAKE TRAVIS!!!!
Last year we raised more money than we ever had here at The OASIS for the Capital Area Food Bank of Central Texas. So a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for that!! Remember we are a charity based show and all 100% of the donations that are collected at the show go straight to the food bank, so keep them coming! Lets try and have the best year ever this year for them!!!!
Please remember that for February and for May the shows will be held on the 3rd Sunday of the month. This is done based on the availability of the lot at the host venue. I have attached a copy of the schedule to this email so please print, share, forward as you see fit.
Thank you to all of our vendors/sponsors that have come out over this past year and that have been with us since the beginning! LATE EUROPEAN, THE OASIS RESTAURANT, JOHNNY BEANS, RACES2U, EXPEL, AND JOHN MURPHY ALLSTATE!! Also thank you to TEXAS GREEN BLAST LLC and NEVRSLO for coming out to our shows as of late. Also we would like to announce that making a return in February is the MOBILE DYNO but it will be under the name of BD TUNING.
Also please remember that this is a CAR SHOW and not a RACE TRACK or DRAGSTRIP or DRIFTING LOT. Last month we had numerous people have a case of the “look what I can do” and it was not a pleasurable experience. We appreciate everyone coming out and bringing these awesome machines but it is JUST A CAR SHOW!!!! Unfortunately I am now required to have law enforcement presence because of the shenanigans that took place last month. But hopefully it will curtail the issues that occurred last month. here is a reminder of the do’s and don’ts at our show:
DO:
-donate to the food bank
-park in between the lines
-have patience with the parking staff (they are here to help you)
-visit the vendors, the shops, and restaurants
-engage with others about our passion… CARS!!!!
-donate to the food bank (did we say this yet?)
-remember that sometimes we have large groups that attend and ask to park together and we may accommodate them and be nice to us if we ask you to please move
DON’T
-speed
-burn out or peel out
-drive fast in the garage
-drift in the garage
-don’t rev your engine excessively in the garage
-don’t use the dirt lot as a drifting arena
-do any of the above on the road or in any parking lot
-forget to donate to the food bank!!!!
